is the number 1 beauty queen among Korean Girl Groups, selected by plastic
surgery specialists?
“I want to be like Gu Hara.” “I want to have Kang Min-kyung styled nose.”
Plastic surgery clinics around Apgujeong,
Gangnam district, where the ‘1st Avenue of Korean Plastic Surgery’
are having a torrent of demands like those above. Small faces, sharp noses,
nice and thick lips of girl group members are almost as valuable as “treasures
that want to have, by spending all of the annual income”. Yet even not all
parts of faces are beautiful among the prettiest members among the groups. They
have pretty parts as well as some parts are relatively less balanced with their
overall facial shapes.
Then who would be the beauties,
representing each of facial parts, recognized by specialists? Based on facial
shapes and eyes, nose, and mouth, they selected as beauty queens. Advices had
been asked to the plastic surgeons who daily tell the strength and weakness of
each part through checking within only 3 minutes. Total 9 popular surgeons have
participated in, selected each part from fist rank to third rank, which they
consider the prettiest one. For each part, 5 points to first rank, 3 points to
second rank, and 1 point to third rank had given. Among a number of girl group
members, Gu Hara(22) of KARA and Kang Min-kyung(23) of Davichi gained the
two-time winners’ honor from each of facial shape and lip, eye and nose.

Gu Hara’s facial shape that looks like a
nicely peeled off boiled egg has been ranked the 1st. Round
forehead, small and slim chin line seem suitable for a Japan’s top Korean Wave
K-Pop group, according to the comments. Her smooth and wrinkle free forehead,
particularly, is creating lovely mood. Hers is a standard of ‘youthful look
trend’ of all over the Asia. Dr. Park Won-jin from Wonjin Plastic Surgery
commented “the face is overall three-dimensional and the chin line is smooth
and slim. In short, her face is the most appropriate for a slicked-back hair
do.” Also Dr. Yim Young Min from Grand Plastic Surgery said “the upper, the mid,
and the lower ratio is almost similar to 1: 1: 0.8 so it is idealistic and a

is ‘eyes.’ This is because she has both femininity and sexy, cute and elegancy
at the same time. Her eyes are well known for the bright size, which seem like
fill almost the half of the small face. Many male fans get to smile, seeing
them through screens. Besides they look somewhat pathetic, so that has an
excellent match with her main specialty, gloomy ballads.

surgeons, unfortunately had to remain in the second rank.

Not even one part is weak, from the figure
to eyes and nose. We could easily believe that she had been bullied due to her
outstanding appearance in her high school years. Min-kyung led an enthusiastic
reaction from a love scene, performed with a imaginary boyfriend in JTBC
television drama <Imagine Dating>. Particularly the closed up nasal tip
was round and cute. Dr. Kim Byung Kun of BK Plastic Surgery commented “Min-kyung’s
nose is not so big and small that harmonize well with her facial ratio. The
slightly round nasal tip looks natural and the nasal bridge is smoothly
straightened, it looks sophisticated.” Dr. Jeong Yoo Seok of The Line added “the
line from her nasal bridge to the tip is smooth and natural.”

Kun of BK clinic commented “her lips are nice and thick that many women loves
these days.” as well as “it looks big, considering her face; however, that
point makes her appearance much more cool.” Above them, f(x)’s Sulli, who is
the youngest one among the nominated members, gained 18 points and ranked in
the second place. Dr. Choi Joong Ho of Dio Clinic commented on that “Sulli’s
lips looks very cool and fresh.”
